Ricky Hatton, also known as “The Hitman”, a 30 year-old british professional boxer is a two-time IBF and IBO light welterweight champion. Former WBU, WBA Light Welterweight champion and WBC, WBA, WBO inter-continental light welterweight champion.
After beating the “Golden Boy” Oscar Dela Hoya, the team Pacquiao seemed inevitable who would take on next. Not surprisingly that Ricky Hatton had already lined up against pacquiao. But things came out that the two camp had a not so good negotiations about the divisions of money. They said that misunderstanding about the 50-50 split share, because pacquiao’s camp has no idea about this split share, they said that it was unfair to the fact that Philippine champ is more popular compare to Hatton.
But after the long negotiations the team Pacquiao agreed to accept the offer to fight the british boxer Hatton. The fight was scheduled to go down at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2, 2009.
